A blockchain transaction typically begins with an instruction created by a wallet and authorized using a cryptographic signature. Network participants then validate the transaction according to the network’s rules.

Confirmation

Once included in a block, a transaction is considered confirmed. Some networks and applications wait for additional blocks before treating a transaction as final enough for a particular use.

Always verify

Blockchain transactions can be difficult or impossible to reverse. Check the recipient address, network and amount before approving a transfer.
