🚀 How to Start
1. Prepare a wallet
Use a Virtacoin-compatible wallet and keep your private keys or recovery information under your own control.
2. Choose solo or pool mining
Solo mining requires your own synchronized node and suitable mining software. Pool mining combines miners and distributes rewards according to the pool's rules.
3. Use compatible Scrypt software
Use software that explicitly supports Virtacoin's current Scrypt network. Download only from a source you can verify.
4. Configure the miner
For pool mining, use the pool's current official stratum address and worker settings. Do not rely on old forum configurations without checking them first.
5. Monitor results
Check hashrate, accepted/rejected shares, temperature, electricity use, pool fees and payouts.
💻 Hardware
Dedicated Scrypt ASIC miners can be much more efficient than general-purpose CPU/GPU hardware. Check compatibility and electricity cost before buying equipment.
💰 Profitability
Mining rewards are not guaranteed. Consider hardware cost, electricity, downtime, pool fees and VTA market value.
